At U.S. MED INTERNS we offer comprehensive access to primary care for the entire families for patients 14 years of age and older.  Our primary care providers practice services that go far beyond diagnosing and treating ailments.  We truly want to see you our U.S. MED INTERNS excel in all their primary care skills! Services interns will experience and partake in are: educating our patients about healthy living, wellness visits, and preventative measures to ensure a long and healthy life. Our U.S. MED INTERNS will observe many people suffering from weight gain affected by more serious conditions; such as hypertension, diabetes, and coronary artery disease.  preceptors such as Dr. Abdulhassan Saad our medical internist and primary care physician he first identifies the underlying problem, then treats each patient according to their specific needs. At his own clinic, Patient First Medical Clinic also works with recovery programs and patients across Wayne County to assess and provide a medication treatment plan customized to stabilize and then prevent relapse for patients with a history of Alcohol or Opiate Dependency.

U.S. MED INTERNS will be exposed to the importance of opioid epidemic crisis and the most up to date methods of treatment options in the medical community today. For patients with an alcohol abuse problem or those who have successfully completed a recovery or detox program for opioid dependence, U.S. MED INTERNS will learn how Dr. Saad can supervise a treatment program with Vivitrol, which is an effective medication that can dramatically reduce cravings and prevent relapse.

For patients with an active opiate problem, U.S. MED INTERNS will also learn how Dr. Saad can provide a supervised Buprenorphine medication therapy.  This is a stabilizing medication prescribed only by Physicians registered through the DEA’s DATA 2000 program.

One of our U.S. MED INTERN Preceptors - Dr. Abdulhassan Saad

Dr. Abdulhassan Saad is a local physician, born and raised in Dearborn, MI.  He has a passion for his community and is driven to provide exceptional healthcare to his patients.  Dr. Saad trained locally and attended the University of Michigan for undergrad and obtained a BS in biological science.  He then pursued his medical degree at the University of Toledo and graduated with high distinction.  He later completed an internal medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.   After graduation,  he took a position with a non-profit healthcare organization, IHA, stationed out of Ann Arbor, MI.  After working as a general hospitalist for 2 years, he was promoted to Vice Chief of Staff at Select Specialty Hospital of Ann Arbor, MI.  In 2016, Dr.Saad felt that it was time to head back to Dearborn and begin servicing his community.  Dr. Saad can be found caring for his patients at his medical clinic located at 6500 Schaefer Rd, in Dearborn, MI.
