I was exposed to excellent outpatient and inpatient exposure in my internal medicine rotation under Dr. Saad’s guidance and mentorship.
I rotated for two months in Dearborn with Dr. Saad and his amazing team which equipped me with skills of detailed patient history and physical examination. I received thorough knowledge of using the EPIC EMR system. Moreover the extensive discussions and didactical learning with Dr. Saad made me understand the subtle rationale for the patients individualized treatment plans. I also got trained in treating opioid addiction and obtained ample opportunities to participate in community outreach programs and to visit geriatric clinics too. Besides being an excellent academic attending
Dr. Saad and his team enhanced my skills to independently manage cases as an intern. I thoroughly enjoyed every day and my special thanks to Dr. Saad for being my special mentor on this journey and a great human being too.

My experience at US MED INTERNS has been by far the most enjoyable clinical exposure yet. I came across innumerable patients with diverse conditions. With time, I was able to achieve the complete hands-on experience I was seeking and that is necessary to develop my skills. The clinic provided me with opportunities to obtain thorough history, perform physical examinations, review and discuss laboratory results, revise medications and practice noting down findings and a suitable management plan for each individual. The time spent here expanded my confidence in being able to effectively communicate with patients, and clearly convey their concerns with assurance.

As an IMG my experience with US MED INTERNS and Dr. Saad has been invaluable. The team has provided me with the opportunity as an IMG to integrate into the U.S. medical system with consistent exposure to the EMR and first hand experience with patient care. I believe that any IMG coming to US MED INTERNS will be able to feel like a true U.S. Medical Professional as they prepare for residency. My internship here has allowed me to develop the skills that are necessary for the MATCH and I continue to face challenges that allow me to hone my skills to be the best potential resident I can be.
— Dr. Atif Siddique, IMG from Services Institute of Medical Sciences - Lahore, Pakistan
I have found a lot of possibilities for learning about opioid dependence and appropriate management and care. I have also found writing and accessing EPIC a vital skill in preparing me for residency in the future.

I have been with Dr. Saad and his clinic during my core rotations for Internal Medicine, in addition to another elective rotation. At US MED INTERNS, the staff and preceptors foster a supportive learning environment that allows interns to thrive and grow to be the best potential residents they can be. Interns will be given the opportunity to be exposed to tasks such as presenting patients, writing SOAP notes, performing physical exams, presenting case studies, rounding in hospitals and immersing yourself in the U.S. EMR system.

At US MED INTERNS I was exposed to a number of invaluable tasks such as performing various physical exams on patients, completing blood glucose checks, EKG’s, presenting patients, and writing and performing countless SOAP notes on the EPIC EMR system. I can confidently say that I feel fully prepared to go out and complete my other core rotations after obtaining the support and guidance of Dr. Saad at US MED INTERNS.
