Should I set up my own clinical rotations and what do i need?

U.S. MEDICAL INTERNS prides itself on flexibility for its interns but also commits to absolute safety of its patients and medical staff. For that reason it will be the sole responsibility of the intern or his/her educational institution to:

1) Ensure your clinical rotations will not get you in trouble with state medical boards (now, pre-residency, or when applying for a medical license)

2) Providing U.S. MED INTERNS with all the necessary paperwork including:

  • Letter of good standing from your educational institution

  • Current curriculum vitae/resume

  • Current PPD, within 1 year (Chest X-ray required if positive)

  • photo ID- copy of current driver's license

  • Criminal background check

  • Flu shot record (seasonal)

  • Immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella)

  • Physical exam current within 1 year

3) Have a backup plan, in case of a last minute cancellation by the hospital or physician.

How much inpatient will I have? Am I guaranteed to go into a hospital?

U.S. MED INTERNS will have opportunities to round with our preceptors in an observational capacity at their respective affiliated hospitals and frequency will be dependent on the preceptors schedule and their assessment of the interns competency. U.S. MED INTERNS will however have much more patient interaction and experience in their respective clinics. For more information please email us.

Not to worry we’re here to help you every step of the way. We have access to a variety of living situations near us that can accommodate your budget and if transport is your only need we can also facilitate daily drop-off to our clinic.
